Yasser Gaessa

Yasser Gaessa was born on the 14th of March, 1970 in Egypt. A Cartoonist where his work included several types and contents, ranging from political comic strips, portraits, children’s books and more. Gaessa graduated in 1993 with a degree by the Graphic and Cartoon department in the faculty of Fine Arts in Helwan University, Egypt.


He worked on a number of fields including Cartoons, Storyboard and Poster Design with companies such as Saatchi & Saatchi, Impact BBDO, Creative Culture, Taraneem Gallery and more. He was a cartoonist with a number of magazines from 1993 to 1997, then he worked with Newspapers such as Al Ahram, Al Morakeb and Cairo.


His cartoons mostly depict Egyptians in their everyday lives, situations, places and more. It’s obvious the amount of attention paid to add little details that add to the overall aesthetic value of the artwork, getting the viewer to examine them delightfully with them in every corner.
